About the Login System
How login works
Content within the "reports" and "search" sections of this site is available only to members who have taken out a paid subscription. Members log in using a login link at the top of each page, and are prompted to login if they attempt to access "reports" or "search" without first logging in.
Your username is your e-mail address, and your password is sent to you when you join. Members may change their password or email address at any time using the "My account" function. You can also have a password reminder sent to you.
Members who take our free trial will see four older reports as an example of our service. They cannot see our current reports. They may also use the site's search function, but will only get results from a sample set of a few hundred wines, not the several thousand wines in our database. To see all reports, search the entire database and be able to rate and comment on wines, free trial members should choose 'upgrade' from within "My account".
I'm a full member, but can only see the old reports!
For a few weeks before a paid member's subscription expires, and for one week after, they will see a message saying their subscription is about to expire or has expired. If they do not renew they will be 'demoted' to free trial status. At that point they will see only the older reports visible to free trial members. To renew, login and click "My account", then follow the 'upgrade' option.
